The NXP is a quadcopter. Used for robotic drones, rovers and other small autonomous vehicles, this reference design kit contains RDDRONE-FMUK66, a Flight Management Unit (FMU) that performs the navigation and manages real-time reaction to external stimulus. The FMU should also be considered as a Vehicle Management Unit (VMU) for a ground or water-based robot, as it manages inertial sensor fusion, GPS and inputs from other sensors and is adaptable to many airframes and vehicle types. The reference design includes the required cables, adapters, and peripherals for out-of-the-box development, including a debugger and serial console cables as well as a GPS. Telemetry radios are purchased separately to match ISM band frequencies allowed by your country.
